What does hell look like and who goes to hell? These are some questions Professor Wetmore asked in her workshop on graphic novels in Dr. Chambliss’s ENG 325: Readings in Graphic Narrative, in her presentation of her graphic novel “Dante – A Divine Comedy” (2023) in Professor Carmen De Lorenzo’s ITL 202, and in her lecture at the RCS “brunch and learn” event “Dante & The Divine & Comedy in 2025”. Current political events, such as the presidential elections in 2016 and 2024 were part of her analysis as well as social injustice and US Academia. Professor Wetmore also led an artistic workshop at the Ingham County Youth Center (ICYC) with the MSU’s Incarcerated Arts Program under the direction of Dr. McCarthy and leading student members of this group https://artsliving.msu.edu/iap/
The event series focused on Professor Wetmore’s work and thinking was highly inspirational for faculty, students, and community members alike.
