In this course, Prof. Brandon Conley will give you an overview of ancient Greek and Roman cultures and their enduring influences in the world around us. It is also an introduction to several of the methodologies that we use to study these cultures and how we can use them to draw conclusions. By actively examining many different types of evidence, students will develop an understanding of what we know about Greece and Rome, how we come to know it, and why it matters.
