SPN 102: Elementary Spanish II
SPN 102: Elementary Spanish II
Fall, Spring, and Summer | 4 credits
Spanish 102 is where learners take their Spanish language skills to the next level! This course is designed for students with limited prior Spanish-language experience.
Students can expect an immersive classroom experience where Spanish will be used every single day by their instructor and classmates as they all work together toward Spanish proficiency. Students will benefit from two 15-minute conversations and one 30-minute conversation with native Spanish speakers as part of their coursework, along with a wide variety of integrated cultural topics. In this class, students will also take their skills outside of the classroom for a group interview with members of the local Spanish-speaking community to better understand the local experience of being a Spanish-speaker.
Communication is key in this class, as students will continue developing their intercultural competency alongside their Spanish language abilities.

- tell whether I know certain people, places, and/or things.
- talk about how much time I spent doing various activities since the last class.
- tell what my favorite activities used to be when I was a child.
- describe what my wardrobe consists of and what motivates me when buying clothes.
